I’ll share how this one looks on soon but for now let’s just admire the details. I’m really enjoying trying to get my finishes as polished as possible in my sewing lately - very therapeutic 😊 Ps. Who remembers this fabric from summer-time?? I or Who remembers this fabric from summer-time?? I originally said I was going to sew (another) Ashton Top by Helen’s Closet with this beautiful embroidered cotton gauze by Atelier Brunette but I ended up getting side tracked by a Darling Ranges blouse which I thought might be more wearable in the colder months. The Darling Ranges dress is one of my favourite ever patterns (as you probably know) but I’ve only ever made one version of the blouse option so far. It’s such a pretty and super quick blouse to sew up though and I love the V neck. I had a few requests to share the process of fitti I had a few requests to share the process of fitting these metal snaps which I seem to be obsessed with at the moment - I’m adding them to everything!! This is a kit I bought from Amazon (I’ll link in my stories and save to highlights) it’s super easy to use and I actually find it less scary than sewing buttonholes with the machine!! A couple of extra tips:- • Check and double check your button placement markings on both sides before fitting. Once they’re in there’s no way of getting them out again (that I know of anyway) • Hammer gently. Too much pressure can cause the snaps to warp out of shape meaning they don’t clasp together properly. • Use a board or a piece of wood to soften the blow. I used my tailors clapper.
