Sew a Pretty Wrap Dress for Spring with Me…
I absolutely love wrap dresses, the style is pretty, elegant and timeless and I feel like a good wrap dress can be suitable for every occasion. Dress down with pumps or trainers for a day look, or up with heels or sandals for an evening or occasion look…
I have wanted to sew the Annabelle Wrap Dress by Style Arc since last summer so it was great to finally get on and try this pattern out. I love the simple style of this dress and the dainty little ruffle that you can include around the neckline and sleeves. I knew this would be a fiddly sewing challenge but it was one I was willing to take on in the name of prettiness 😉

This is one of Style Arc’s older sewing patterns (I think), and it was fair to say that the instructions were a little minimal to say the least. Style Arc instructions can assume prior sewing knowledge and don’t always tell you to do some of the nitty gritty sewing such as stay-stitching and understitching but if you’ve sewn clothes before and have some experience, I think you usually know these things anyway.
You can watch the full sewing process and follow me on a week in my sewing life in this video over on YouTube. This includes my sizing, changes I made to the pattern to get the right fit, struggles and frustrations and some finished photos and video of the final result.
I hope you’ll enjoy watching!
Take care and happy sewing…
